  1. Listen to the words of the Great Mother, who of old was called
  2. Artemis, Astarte, Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Ceridwen, Diana,
  3. Arionrhod, Brigid, and by many other names:
  4.     "Whenever you have need of anything, once in the month, and
  5. better it be when the moon is full, you shall assemble in some
  6. secret place and adore the spirit of Me who is Queen of all the
  7. Wise.  You shall be free from slavery, and as a sign that you be
  8. free you shall be naked in your rites.  Sing, feast, dance, make
  9. music and love, all in My presence, for Mine is the ectasy of the
  10. spirit, and Mine also is joy on earth.  For My law is love unto
  11. all beings.  Mine is the secret that opens the door of youth, and
  12. Mine is the cup of wine of life that is the Cauldron of Ceridwen
  13. that is the holy grail of immortality.  I give the knowledge of
  14. the spirit eternal and beyond death I give peace and freedom and
  15. reunion with those that have gone before.  Nor do I demand aught
  16. of sacrifice, for behold, I am the mother of all things, and My
  17. love is poured upon the earth."

  19. Hear the words of the Star Goddess, the dust whose feet are the
  20. host of heaven, whose body encircles the universe:
  21.     "I who am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon
  22. among the stars and the mysteries of the waters, I call upon your
  23. soul to arise and come unto me.  For I am the soul of nature that
  24. gives life to the universe.  From Me all things proceed and unto
  25. Me they must return.  Let My worship be in the heart tha rejoices,
  26. for behold -- all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals.  Let
  27. there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and
  28. humility, mirth and reverence within you.  And you who seek to
  29. know Me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not,
  30. unless you know the Mystery: for if that which you seek, you find
  31. not within yourself, you will never find it without.  For behold,
  32. I have been with you from the beginning, and I am that which is
  33. attained at the end of desire."
